Great location for biking. Lovely, scenic trails with lots of other attractions along the way.
The museum about the War of 1812 was fabulous, we also learned about the local dueling grounds in the 19th century. Our kayak rental was only $26 for the day which is the best deal in the D.C. area. Paddling on the river was easy and a pleasure.

Nice park with water, wildlife, walking/biking trails, historic exhibits and more. Definitely worth a visit.

It's a park that's very lovely all year round. It's also full of history since it was the setting for the Battle of Bladensburg during the War of 1812. If history isn't your thing, there are plenty of nature trails. I've seen cranes at that park a few times.
